What's Next?
So you might be wondering what happens to maidenmarathon from here? I may have run my marathon, but that is by no means the end of my fitness journey, or the website!
I've started to think about new goals, and what's important to me moving forward and as a result I've changed my working hours to accommodate some of these things! It's a pretty big step for me, but life's short and I think I can make this work out, so I am now officially a part time amateur athlete!
I'll be spending my 'extra day' doing longer training sessions, working on my website, (working on other people's websites) and putting some time back into the running community by way of volunteer work.

Looking after the website out on our travels
From here I have set some short-term goals (view these as well as my mid-term and long-term goals in my Goal Setting to Achieve article), and as I work through these I'll make a decision about the next 'bucket list' activity that I set my sights on.
At this point, 2011 will either be the year I complete my first Ironman, or the year I run my first Ultra Marathon!
Over the next few months I'll be getting back into cycling (it's been 5 years or so since I cycled) and I will then make a decision whether I lean towards triathlon (and ultimately Ironman), or whether I concentrate on distance running and cycling for now.
What does this mean for the maidenmarathon website?
As I incorporate new disciplines and methods into my own training, I will have loads of new content for the website and hopefully a tip or two for those following a similar path. I'll be giving the site a new look, and restructuring it a little so you can find the things that are relevant to you. As always, any feedback you have on what you want to see on the site would be welcomed.
So... It's all exciting stuff for me right now, and I look forward to sharing with you during this new journey!
