Trial Run

Next week I get to introduce some (trial) jog/walks back into my life!

I saw my physio today and he said although he wouldn't typically introduce running back in until I was pain-free, as I am about to go away for a bit and because I see the specialist in 1 month, it would be useful to try it out to give us some idea on progression before I see the specialist.

Plan:

- Next week I will do a run/walk alternating 50 meters of jogging with 50 meters walking (20min max)

- If I pull up OK from that, in 2 days time I can bump it up slightly to 100m jog/100m walk (if I don't pull up well... reassess)

- Always leave 1-2 rest days between runs

- Keep up exercises/massage regularly

- If I don't pull up well from a session, drop back to a comfortable duration/distance

I think my physio became worried by my obvious excitement, so there is major emphasis on taking it GRADUALLY and being SENSIBLE. Of course! :)

I still don't have any final long term prognosis until I see the specialist, but I am very pleased and excited to do some running again for now.
