I have found your pages of great interest to read. You seem to have gone through a common learning curve that I see appearing in many refferences on the Internet to learning to train! I especialy found your progress on speed training to be of great interest as this is the point where I feel that I am at. My progress to fitness has been somewhat slow having started with walking in 2008 and taking my first steps into running when I turned 50 at the beguining of 2009.
After running the City-Bay in 2010 with an injury and failing to achieve my under 60 min target I joined the SARRC and went to the Thursday night meetings to try and help my goals. I think the extra streatches I learnt there will aid in reducung future injury. Like you, I have attempted, not as well as yourself, to blog/log my progress on a website at http://www.pcsa.net.au/ and have logged my activity on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/12krunner , where I found you ;-)
I will be interested to know where you go now with your ankle problems! Doesn't sound very promising.... I do wish you good luck with that.
Thanks for your efforts in presenting the details as you progress through your training, it is invaluable information for many to come.
Happy New Year and I hope your running future looks brighter than it does right now.
